17 apps are stealing banking information, passwords from smartphones

17 apps that secretly steal customer information have been found in the Play Store. Especially banking information. Experts say that these apps should be deleted from the smartphone as soon as possible to prevent information trafficking. 

Apps can collect passwords of various financial services on smartphones without users’ knowledge and send them to cybercriminals. The malware-laden apps were discovered by cyber security firm ‘Trend Micro’. Google has already removed the apps from the Play Store after learning about the presence of malware.

According to a report published by security research firm Trend Micro, Android smartphone users have malware-infected apps on their phones, which can steal important customer information such as banking information, PINs, passwords, and more. Not only that. Apps can read text messages on customers’ phones and infect them with harmful malware. Experts have named these apps as dropper apps.
